For each EIP instance, you can perform operations such as bandwidth adjustment, upgrading and renewal in console as needed.

Bind /Unbind EIP Instance and BCC Instance

Bind EIP Instance and BCC Instance

Background information

You can bind or unbind EIP instance to or from any BCC instance to configure your service change request flexibly. You can execute binding or unbinding in EIP instance list, and also execute this operation in BCC instance list. This section only introduces the operation method in EIP instance list.

Operation steps

1.Click link "Management Console" and enter "Instance List"interface.

2.Click "More Operations > Bind to BCC"

3.Select BCC instance from popup menu, and click "OK"

4.The system binds EIP instance and BCC instance at the background, and when EIP state is "Bound" the binding is successful.

Note: BCC in NAT exclusive subnet can not mount EIP instance.

Unbind EIP Instance and BCC Instance

Background information

You can bind or unbind EIP instance to or from any BCC instance to configure your service change request flexibly. You can execute binding or unbinding in EIP instance list, and also execute this operation in BCC instance list. This section only introduces the operation method in EIP instance list.

1.Click link "Management Console" and enter "Instance List"interface.

2.Click "More Operations-unbinding"

3.Click "OK"in the popup menu.

4.The system unbinds EIP instance and BCC instance at the background, and when EIP state is Available the unbinding is successful.

Bind /Unbind EIP Instance and BLB Instance

Background information

When creating public network BLB instance, you must create an EIP instance at the same time, and form a biding relationship. EIP instance bound to BLB instance can not be unbound, and can only be substituted for other EIP instances. You can execute binding or unbinding in EIP instance list, and also execute this operation in BLB instance list. This section only introduces the operation method in EIP instance list.

Operation steps

1.Click link "Management Console" and enter "Instance List"interface.

2.EIP instance bound to BLB instance can not be unbound, and in this case, you can select the EIP instance to be substituted, and click "More Operations > Bind to BLB"

3.Select EIP instance from popup menu, and click "OK"

4.The system binds/unbinds EIP instance and BLB instance at the background, and when EIP state is Available the unbinding is successful.

Renew EIP Instance

Application scenarios

Upon expiration of EIP instance paid by "Prepaid" service is stopped automatically. Within 7 days after expiration, service is stopped automatically, and data are retained, and a renewal notice is sent to you. After the renewal, the system will automatically recover the use of original services. When the expiration exceeds 7 days, EIP resource is cleared and can not be recovered. The users should re-purchase the services.

Baidu AI Cloud provides 2 renewal methods, i.e. automatic renewal and manual renewal.

Note: For the EIP instance of "Billing by bandwidth used" and "Billing by traffic used" this renewal operation does not exist.

Automatic renewal

For the users of the prepayment business, we recommend you to subscribe Automatic Renewal Service in order to save your operation time, and avoid the service suspension caused by that you forget renewal when the services expire. The automatic renewal will regularly renew your cloud resources. Deduction will be conducted for the automatic renewal 7 days before the instance expires, and you are reminded by SMS or email no matter the renewal is successful or failed.

Please note the following details, which might be related to your service:

• To subscribe the automatic renewal service, you should ensure your account balance is sufficient .
• If the automatic renewal fails due to that the account balance is insufficient 7 days before expiration, the system will make automatic renewal deduction again 3 days before the expiration. If the deduction is successful, the automatic renewal service is completed in the period . if the deduction is failed, the deduction will be made 1 day before expiration;
• After expiration, the service will be suspended automatically. The automatic renewal is unavailable during the period from the service suspension to the resource retention, and the manual renewal should be conducted by the users .
• If you don't manually renew the resource in one period, the automatic renew is no longer executed.

Manual renewal

When the charging mode of prepayment is used, the EIP instance will be automatically shut down when it expires. The system will not delete your instance and retain it for 7 days. During this period, no fees are collected and the users can select manual renewal.

Operation steps

• Automatic renewal: For the setting of automatic renewal steps, please see Automatic Renewal Operation.

• Manual renewal The following operations enable it to renew EIP manually:

  1.Click link "Management Console" and enter "Instance List"interface.

  2.Select the EIP instance to be renewed, and click "Renew"

3.Select the time length to be renewed, and click "Renew"

4.After confirming that there is no error of order information, click Pay to enter the payment link.

Note: If you have cash coupons of Baidu AI Cloud, you can use the cash coupons for settlement and deduct the fees. If the cash coupons are insufficient, you can use the bankcard to pay.

5.Select payment method, and click "Confirm Payment" to complete payment

6.After successful payment, the system extends renewal period of EIP instance automatically.

Note: EIP supports renewal feature in batch. Check multiple postpaid instances to be renewed in batch in the instance list, and click "Renew" button.

Upgrade EIP Instance Bandwidth

Application scenarios

If you need to adjust EIP instance bandwidth, you can upgrade bandwidth. This section introduces bandwidth upgrading method with the EIP instance "Billing by traffic used" as an example. For other 2 billing methods, bandwidth can be upgraded in the same operation manner.

Operation steps

1.Click link "Management Console" and enter "Instance List" interface.

2.Click "More Operations-bandwidth Upgrading"

3.Click bandwidth value, and click "Next" to confirm the order.

4.After confirming that there is no error of order information, click "Confirm Order" to modify bandwidth.

5.Enter "Instance List" interface, and view the bandwidth upgrading result of EIP instance.

Release EIP Instance

Application scenarios

You can release the idle EIP instance to save rental cost.

Note: The system does not allow to release EIP instances in the following conditions:

• You are not allowed to release EIP instance of yearly and monthly packages.
• You are not allowed to release EIP instance bound to BCC or BLB instance.

Operation steps

1.Click link "Management Console" and enter "Instance List" interface.

2.Select EIP instance to be released, and click "Release"

3.Enter SMS verification code.

4.View instance list, and the checked EIP instance has been released.

Billing Change

For you to switch the EIP instance billing method, currently support billing change of EIP instance billed by bandwidth, with conversion from billing by need (postpaid) to yearly and monthly packages (prepaid). For the details, refer to Billing Change Operation.
