To ensure the normal use of EIP resources, Baidu AI Cloud limits the number of EIP instances that each user can purchase, and such limitation can be adjusted with the product operation policy. The specific rules are as follows:

• Individual users 50 EIP quotas in each region.
• Enterprise users 130 EIP quotas in each region.

If it is denied and stopped because the traffic is too large, how to solve the problem?

DDos basic protection can protect against 5Gbps traffic attacks. If the traffic exceeds 5Gbps, telecom operators (Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile) block EIP. For the EIP suspended due to attacks, unbinding or releasing the EIP is not allowed. Thus, your public network will be blocked by the operator for 24 hours.

If a large number of outbound malicious scanning traffic has been suspended and blocked, how do I handle this problem?

Overseas malicious traffic control policies have been launched in Hong Kong and Singapore. When your EIP has a large amount of outbound malicious scanning traffic, unbinding and releasing the EIP is not allowed. So, your public network will be blocked by overseas operators for 24 hours. Baidu AI Cloud recommends you modify the server login password in time, disable unnecessary ports, reinstall the system, or use the security software to detect Baidu Cloud Compute.

If the original IP is deleted due to expiration, and a new one is applied, can the original one be used?

No, the created IP address is assigned randomly.

What's the difference between shared bandwidth and EIP?

• A shared bandwidth consists of a public network bandwidth and a group of public network IP. The postpaid EIP instances purchased can be joined into the shared bandwidth, while the prepaid EIP instances purchased cannot be joined into the shared bandwidth.
• EIP is an IP configured with a bandwidth.

Can a BCC bind more EIP?

At present, BCC can bind multiple EIPs by adding auxiliary IP.

How many cloud servers can one EIP bind simultaneously?

One EIP can only be bound to one BCC.

How to connect more servers to the internet via an EIP?

Is the bandwidth of EIP downlink or uplink?

The upper limit of public network bandwidth you purchase is uplink bandwidth, i.e. the bandwidth flowing out of virtual machine.

The server has been expired, why does EIP still deduct the expense for standby state?

No expense is charged upon expiration of server, but if EIP is not released, IP address rental fee is further deducted.

Is it possible to unbind EIP operation, and then bind the EIP to a new server?

Yes, unbinding EIP is not releasing EIP, and you can bind it after purchasing a new BCC.

What should I do if I cannot enter IP via ping because the server system is Windows?

Windows server forbids ping by default, please open file and printer sharing (echo request- ICMPv4-In) rule of advanced firewall inbound.
