Create Instance
Application scenarios
You can apply for public network bandwidth service by creating EIP instance, and then unbind EIP instance from other products needing to access to public network (e.g.: BCC instance). Products bound to EIP instance obtain public network bandwidth service.
When creating EIP instance, please note the following:
-
To ensure the normal use of EIP resources, Baidu AI Cloud limits the number of EIP instances that each user can purchase, and such limitation can be adjusted with the product operation policy. The specific rules are as follows:
Number of EIP instances that you can purchase <=number of existing BCC instances +number of existing public network BLB cases +2
- Each BCC instance or BLB instance can be bound to only one EIP instance.
Operation steps
1.Log in to Baidu AI Cloud Official Website.
2.Log in to Baidu AI Cloud Platform:
- If there is no user name, please complete registration first. Please refer to Account Registration for operation.
-
If there is a user name, please refer to Login for the log-in operation.
3.After successful login, select "Product Service > Elastic IP" to enter Instance List page.
4.(Optional) For customers to manage EIP instances uniformly, such as bandwidth and unbinding device, Instance List supports resource list download, the resource downloaded is in CSV format, coding format is UTF-8, and file naming rule is "Product Name Region Date _List.CSV". The downloaded instance is consistent with the filter criteria of the current instance list, and the content contains all fields of the EIP instance.
5.Select region, and please switch the selection based on the actual need.
- Baidu AI Cloud enables multi-region support currently, and if you need to create EIP instances in multiple regions, please see Region Selection Introduction.
-
Instances created in different regions are mutually independent.
6.Click "Create Instance" to enter the "Create Instance" interface.
7.Select Prepaid or Postpaid at the upper left corner as needed, enter the page of purchase items, and fill in relevant configuration information. Upon completion of configuration, click Purchase Immediately, and enter the page Confirm Order.
Fill in Elastic IP information
- Name: Customized name, with length of the range from 1 to 64, only consist of number, letter and strikethrough line.
- Public network bandwidth: Set public network bandwidth value.
Fill in the purchase information
- Purchased duration: Select configuration for the range from 1 to 9 months or from1 to 3 years. The duration cycle is the unit cycle from the instance creation day. If the services are purchased for one month on May 20, 2015, the use cycle lasts from May 20, 2015 to June 20, 2015 (the default unit month is 30 days).
-
Number of purchases: Number of instances purchased at one time, please select based on the actual need.
8.After confirming that there is no error of order information, click pay to enter the payment link.
Note: If you have cash coupons of Baidu AI Cloud, you can use the cash coupons for settlement and deduct the fees. If the cash coupons are insufficient, you can use the bankcard to pay.
9.Select payment method, click confirm payment to complete payment. After successful payment, the system creates EIP instances at the background.
10.Click link Management Console, enter Instance List interface, view state of instances created, and after successful creation, the instance state is displayed as Available.
11.After the instances are created successfully, the system sends order information to you in SMS form.
View Instance
Before viewing EIP instance, select the specified region, EIP list page lists all EIP instances purchased by the user in the region, and each EIP instance contains the following attributes.
Name | Description |
---|---|
Instance ID/Name | ID of EIP instance within the system and name set by users for it. |
State | Including not bound, bound and unavailable Not bound represents that the EIP instance is not used, and can be bound to BCC or BLB instance; Bound represents that the EIP instance has been bound to BCC or BLB instance; Unavailable represents that the account balance of users with payment by need is insufficient, or the yearly and monthly packages are expired. |
Public network IP | Public network IP address assigned for EIP instance. |
Maximum bandwidth | Maximum bandwidth value purchased by users |
Bound device | This EIP instance has been bound to BCC or BLB instance. |
Payment method | Including payment by need and bandwidth, payment by need and traffic, and payment by yearly and monthly packages and by bandwidth |
Operation | Including release, renewal, binding, upgrading and other operations. |

You can also search EIP instance by Instance Name, Instance IP or Instance ID, as shown in the figure below:
View Real-time Bandwidth
EIP does not support viewing of real-time bandwidth currently, but you can obtain real-time bandwidth information by viewing products bound to EIP instance. This section introduces the method of viewing real-time bandwidth with BCC instance as an example.
Note: The maximum bandwidth that you can obtain is the bandwidth set when creating EIP instance, and you can modify the current maximum bandwidth by upgrading bandwidth.
1.Open console interface, click "Product Service > Baidu Cloud Compute", and enter BCC instance list.
2.Click "Instance > Instance name > Monitoring", view network monitoring information, as shown in the figure below.
