          Create Transcoding Preset

          Overview

          If the Preset in the system cannot meet the user's requirements, the user can custom their own Preset. Use different interfaces to create Preset according to different coding requirements.

          Create Customized Transcoding Presets

          1.Log in MCT Console.

          2.Select Product Configurations->Transcoding Presets in the left navigation bar , enter the transcoding Preset page.

          3.Click Create Transcoding Presets, and enter “Create A Transcoding Preset” page.

          4.The user fills the corresponding configuration information according to the demands:

          ParameterDescription
          Preset nameThe beginning must be lowercase, and the rest can consist of lowercase or numbers, with a maximum of no more than 40 characters.
          Audio/video formatAssign the AV container. MP4 is the common video container; FLV is the FLASH video container; HLS is the streaming media video container; A-HLS is the self-adaptive code rate HLS; MP3 is the MP3 audio container; M4A is the MPEG4 audio container.
          Preset description(Optional) input the Preset description.
          Sample PresetYou can select a sample Preset, please refer to the existing parameter to create the Preset.
          Video parameters
          • Disable the video: When only extracting audio from the video, “Disable the Video” can be activated.
          • Coding standard: H.264 is a type of high compression ratio video coding format, which provides low code rate, continuous and fluent high quality images, and it is equipped with strong fault-tolerant ability and network adaptability. BD265 is an encoder independently developed by Baidu.
          • Encoding specifications: Assign the coding specification of the object video, you can select from Baseline, Main or High; when playing in the meddle-end and high-end devices (Web, iPhone4/Android3.0 or above), High/Main is recommended; low-end embedded devices are suggested to use Baseline.
          • Transcoding mode: Select normal or twopass.
          • Maximum code rate: Assign the video code rate, with the unit of kbps; common video code rate, low-definition: 200 kbps;Standard definition: 600 kbps;High definition: 1200 kbps。 If the assigned code rate is higher than the code rate of the original video, use the code rate of the original video.
          • Constant quality factor: If crf value is set, the maximum code rate represents the maximum target code rate.
          • Maximum frame per second: Assign the video frame rate and the frame number displayed every second, with the common frame rate of 24, 25 or 30; Auto means to be the same as input; if the assigned frame rate is higher than the frame rate of the original video, the frame rate of the original video is used.
          • Maximum size: Specify the resolution ratio of the target video, which is the same as input by default; if the specified resolution ratio is greater than the resolution ratio of the original video, the resolution ratio of the original video is used.
          • Scaling policy: The size shrinking strategies of certain videos, including Keep, ShrinkToFit and Stretch. Keep: Keep the input size proportion;ShrinkToFit: Self-adaptive shrinking, which should be filled with black border as required; Stretch, stretching the original video size.
          • Self-adaptively horizontal and vertical Presets: When the original video is in vertical, the width of the Preset is adjusted to be less than the height automatically to ensure the minimum zoom ratio, and vice versa.
          Audio parameters
          • Disable the audio: When extracting videos only from the video, “Disable Audio” can be enabled.
          • Coding standard: Assign the audio coding standard, AAC or MP3, which correlates the audio/video container.
          • Sampling rate: Auto means to keep the same as input.
          • Code rate: Commonly used code rate: 40 kbps, 80 kbps, 128 kbps, 192 kbps, etc.; if the assigned code rate is higher than the input code rate, the input code rate should be used.
          • Sound channel Assign the audio track number, and the common value is 1 or 2; Auto means to keep the same as input, and if the assigned tack number is more than the input number, use the input track number.
          • Audio normalization: Whether to normalize the audio.
          • Mute: Select to mute the audio.
          Advanced parameters
          • Automatic opening black frame removing: Automatically recognize and remove the opening black frames.
          • Automatic removal of black edge: Automatically recognize the black border region and remove the black border.
          • Automatic watermark removing: Automatically recognize and remove the watermarks.
          • Start time for editing: Support to clip the video according to time dimension, and specify the start time of clipping.
          • Duration time: The duration of video clipping defaults to all videos.
          • Watermark configuration: Video is added with watermarks.
          • Key policy: For the secret key achievement strategy after encrypting the video, please refer to Copyright Protection.

          5.Click Create Now to complete customized transcoding Preset creation.
