Billing Items

All billing items of the DRDS include:

Proxy node: Linear pricing and billing on the basis of the number of nodes
Storage node: Linear pricing and billing on the basis of the memory and disk
Read-only replica: Linear pricing and billing on the basis of the memory and disk

The DRDS supports two billing methods, i.e., prepaid and postpaid. The detailed billing rules are as follows:

Billing Mode	Description
Prepaid - on the annual or monthly basis	- It supports annual or monthly billing method. - You need to pay the fees when creating an instance.
Postpaid - Pay by time	- Charge by minute, less than 1 minute being counted as 1 minute. - Charge by instance configuration. - Charge by hour, i.e., charge and generate bills on an hourly basis in Beijing time. The billing time is within 1 hour after the end of the current billing cycle.

The user can change the instance configuration as needed. The detailed configuration change and billing method are as follows:

Prepaid - on the annual or monthly basis	You can only choose memory or disk of higher specifications, and at least one upgrade takes one day as the minimum billing unit. Less than one day is counted as one day.	Amount to pay for the upgrade = (New configuration price - original configuration price) * (remaining days of the contract/total days of the contract);
Postpaid - Pay by time	The memory of the postpaid instance can be larger, smaller or unchanged, and the disk can be larger or unchanged but cannot be smaller. At least one of the memory and the disk is subject to configuration change; one minute is taken as the minimum billing unit, and less than one minute is counted as one minute.	Amount to pay for the upgrade = New instance amount- original instance amount.
