Apply for physical dedicated line

Updated at:2025-11-11

This document describes the procedures involved in creating a physical dedicated line. Users need to apply for a dedicated port and coordinate with the carrier for construction, completion reporting, and payment following approval.

Prerequisites

  • Users must complete real-name verification for their account before purchasing Express Tunnel-related resources.
  • Preparation efforts such as access point selection and on-site survey have been completed. For specific operations, refer to Operation Preparation.

Step I: Apply for the access of physical dedicated line

  1. Sign in to the Physical Dedicated Line Console.
  2. Click on the "Apply for Physical Dedicated Line" button.
  3. Refer to the table below to configure the port information for the physical dedicated line.
Map mode: Requires allowing the browser to access your current location, or the platform will recommend Baidu AI Cloud Express Tunnel access points based on your manually entered location.High-reliability mode Combination modeLarge bandwidth load balancing capability: You will apply for 2 (up to 4, depending on the access point equipment) access devices in 1 access point, and can establish 2 or more physical dedicated lines (you can apply for batch creation of up to 64 dedicated lines at one time through quota management). It is suitable for scenarios requiring large bandwidth. This mode supports physical dedicated line recovery from equipment failures but does not offer recovery capabilities for site failures.Maximum disaster recovery capability
ParametersDescriptionExample
Configuration information
Access point modeHigh-reliability mode: Allows batch creation of dedicated lines.

Standard mode: Requires manual selection of access points.

The combination type only needs to be configured when high-reliability mode is selected as the access point mode. There are four combination types: "Maximum Disaster Recovery Capability", "Strong Disaster Recovery Capability", "Development and Testing", and "Large Bandwidth Load Balancing Capability". Please select based on your actual business needs:

Maximum disaster recovery capability: You will apply for resources in 2 access points and establish 4 independent physical dedicated lines. This mode provides recovery capabilities for physical dedicated lines in scenarios such as equipment failures, connection failures, and full-site failures. Combined with the best practice of connecting on-premises IDCs to cloud VPCs via multi-line connections, it minimizes the risk of single-site failures caused by single-device malfunctions.

Strong disaster recovery capability: You will apply for resources in 2 access points and establish 2 independent physical dedicated lines. This mode enables physical dedicated lines to recover from connection failures caused by line interruptions or equipment failures, and prevents full-site failures. When used with the best practice of connecting on-premises IDCs to cloud VPCs via multi-line connections, it largely avoids single-site failures due to single-device issues.

Development and testing: You will apply for resources in 1 access point and establish 2 physical dedicated lines. This mode allows physical dedicated lines to recover from equipment failures but does not provide recovery capabilities for site failures.
