Create dedicated gateway

Operation scenarios

A dedicated gateway acts as the access point for local data centers to connect to the cloud, facilitating mutual access between on-premises Internet data centers (IDC) and cloud-based virtual private clouds (VPC). This section explains how to quickly create a basic dedicated gateway.

• Note: To add a dedicated channel to a dedicated gateway, follow the steps in this guide. Otherwise, if no dedicated gateway is required, refer to Add Network Instance to add the dedicated channel to a CSN instance.

Operation steps

1. Sign in to the dedicated gateway console.
2. In the top navigation bar, set the region to North China-Beijing.
3. Click the Create Dedicated Gateway button to navigate to the Create Dedicated Gateway page for configuration.

Tag keys (key) and tag values (value) are case-sensitive. For example, Key=tag and Key=Tag are considered different Tag Keys. For more details, refer to [Tag Management](https://cloud.baidu.com/doc/TAG/s/ukboeqze7)key:test

Region	Choose the region where the dedicated gateway is located, ensuring it matches the region of the physical dedicated line to be bound.	North China-Beijing
Virtual private cloud	Select an existing VPC name from the dropdown menu, which will display the associated IPv4 network segment of the VPC.	test
Gateway name	Input box, character specifications and length description: Support uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, Chinese, and special characters -_/. Must start with a letter or Chinese character, length 1-65	test
Egress bandwidth	The default bandwidth is 2 Mbps, with a maximum of 100,000 Mbps.	2
Bound to the physical dedicated line	"Bind physical dedicated line" is selected by default. Alternatively, "Do not bind for now" is also available. Tag
Tag unbinding	A Tag consists of a key and a value, which can help categorize and locate physical dedicated lines. Click the +Add icon to add multiple tags; multiple tags can be added in one operation. The tag key (key) for multiple tags on a single physical dedicated line must be unique, and each tag key (key) can only correspond to one tag value (value).
Resource group
Resource group	Choose an existing group name from the dropdown or click Create to specify a new resource group name.	test

• Note: Only sample values for necessary parameters are provided here. For more parameter descriptions, please refer to Create Dedicated Gateway under the Operation Guide directory. The value examples are for reference only.

4. Click OK to finalize the creation.
5. Click the Go to Console button to return to the dedicated gateway console. The newly created dedicated gateway "test" can now be found in the dedicated gateway list. At this point, the associated physical dedicated line test123 and dedicated channel test456 have been successfully bound to the dedicated gateway test.

Subsequent operations

• Add network instance.
• Configure user-side routing and test connectivity
