Delete dedicated channel
This article describes how to delete same-account dedicated channels and cross-account dedicated channels.
Delete same-account dedicated channels
You can delete unused dedicated channels promptly to release network resources. Before deletion, unbind the associated physical dedicated line and dedicated channel. Note: Deletion is irreversible - data cannot be recovered, and deleted channels cannot be retrieved.
Prerequisites
- Confirm that the dedicated channel has been unbound from the gateway and disassociated from sub-channels.
- Confirm that the dedicated channel has been unloaded from the Cloud Smart Network. For specific operations, refer to Cancel Cross-Account Authorization.
- Manually bring down BGP neighbors (if any). If BGP neighbors exist, first delete them by referring to the Delete Static Route Entries section above.
Operation steps
- Sign in to the Dedicated Channel Console.
- Select Same-Account Dedicated Channels. In the list of same-account dedicated channels, click the Delete button in the Operation column next to the target channel.
- Verify information in the pop-up dialog before clicking Delete to complete the operation.
Description:
If the dedicated channel is bound to a dedicated gateway or loaded into a Cloud Smart Network instance, the Delete button will be grayed out. First, unbind the channel from the gateway or unload it from the Cloud Smart Network instance, then proceed with deletion.
Delete cross-account dedicated channels
As a cross-account dedicated channel recipient, you can delete the channel if you no longer need it or if its configuration does not meet your requirements.
Description
- Fee payers of cross-account dedicated channels include the creator (the owner of the physical dedicated line, who creates the channel) and the recipient (the end user).
- The permissions of cross-account dedicated channels include the management permissions and the usage permissions. Management permissions include configuration and usage permissions, while usage permissions only allows using dedicated channels without configuration permissions. Dedicated channel management permissions include route management and configuration permissions for reliability probe settings.
- The deletion eligibility needs to be determined based on the permission allocation of the cross-account dedicated channels. Only accounts with management permission for the channel can delete the channel. Accounts with only usage permission cannot delete the channel.
Prerequisites
- The cross-account dedicated channel creator (Account A) has created a cross-account dedicated channel for the recipient (Account B). For specific operations, refer to Add Cross-Account Dedicated Channel.
-
The recipient can delete cross-account dedicated channels in the following states:
- Channels with rejected payment: Can be deleted directly.
- Cross-account paid channels that: are not bound to a dedicated gateway; have no dedicated channel configured as the next hop in static route management; are not loaded into Cloud Smart Network instances; and can be deleted directly.
- Cross-account paid channels with BGP neighbors, static routes (with the channel as the next hop), or Cloud Smart Network loading: First delete all BGP neighbors, remove the channel from static route next hops, and unload it from the Cloud Smart Network, then delete the channel.
Operation steps
- Sign in to the Baidu AI Cloud Dedicated Channel Console using Account B.
- Select Same-Account Dedicated Channels. In the list of same-account dedicated channels, click the Delete button in the Operation column next to the target channel.
- Verify information in the pop-up dialog before clicking Delete to complete the operation.
