Create dedicated gateway
Updated at:2025-11-11
Operation scenarios
A dedicated gateway serves as the entry point for on-premises IDCs to access the cloud. It is used to connect the Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and the physical dedicated line, enabling mutual access between on-premises Internet Data Center (IDC) and cloud-based Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).
Operation steps
- Sign in to the dedicated gateway console.
- In the top navigation bar, select the target region.
- On the Dedicated Gateway page, click the Create Dedicated Gateway button, and configure the dedicated gateway parameters in the pop-up dialog box.
| Parameters | Description | Example |
| Region | Choose the region where the dedicated gateway is located, ensuring it matches the region of the physical dedicated line to be bound. | North China-Beijing |
| Virtual private cloud | Select an existing VPC name from the dropdown menu, which will display the associated IPv4 network segment of the VPC. | test |
| Gateway name | Input box, character specifications and length description: Support uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, Chinese, and special characters -_/. Must start with a letter or Chinese character, length 1-65 | test |
| Egress bandwidth | The default bandwidth is 2 Mbps, with a maximum of 100,000 Mbps. | 2 |
| Bound to the physical dedicated line | "Bind physical dedicated line" is selected by default. Alternatively, "Do not bind for now" is also available. When "bind physical dedicated line” is selected, dropdown menus for physical dedicated line and dedicated channel will appear below for selection. | dcphy-xat2is7ri3jw dedicatedconn-yuwv3mw3jd19 |
| Description | Optional, with a character length of 0-200. | test |
| Tag | ||
|---|---|---|
| Tag unbinding | A Tag consists of a key and a value, which can help categorize and locate physical dedicated lines.
| Tag keys (key) and tag values (value) are case-sensitive. For example, Key=tag and Key=Tag are considered different Tag Keys. For more details, refer to [Tag Management](https://cloud.baidu.com/doc/TAG/s/ukboeqze7)|
| Resource group | ||
| Resource group | Choose an existing group name from the dropdown or click Create to specify a new resource group name. | test |
- Click the OK button to complete the creation. The system will automatically return to the Dedicated Gateway Console.
- You can view the newly created dedicated gateway in the dedicated gateway list.
Subsequent operations
- Configure the route entries of the VPC route table: Locate the route table of the VPC bound to the dedicated gateway, and click the name of the route table. On the route table details page, click + Add Route.
For the source network segment, select the network segment of the current VPC. For the destination network segment, select the network segment of the IDC. For the route type, select dedicated gateway. Select either single-line route or multi-line route as needed, and select the correct next-hop instance ID.
Relevant operations
- IPv6 Function Configuration for Dedicated Channel: You can enable the IPv6 function after the dedicated channel is successfully created. Only when the IPv6 function of the dedicated gateway channel is enabled can the dedicated gateway bound to the dedicated channel use the IPv6 function.
- Add Network Instance: Load the dedicated channel and other network instances to be interconnected into the same Cloud Smart Network instance to realize network interconnection between the dedicated channel and the private network.
