Load Balance

General Problems

Can BLB support non-Baidu AI Cloud Server (BCC) machines?

Currently, the backend server of BLB supports Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC), Dedicated Cloud Compute (DCC) and physical machine services.

What is the difference between enabling and disabling public network access for a BLB instance?

If the public network access is not enabled, the internal network IP is provided by default for the balancing service of the internal network traffic; if it is enabled, the public network IP is purchased and bound for you to achieve the balancing service for the public network access traffic.

Can I set up a load sharing service on Baidu AI Cloud?

You can purchase a BCC cloud host and deploy HAproxy and Nginx on your own to achieve load balancing services; however, from the perspective of cost, maintainability and scalability, it is recommended that you use the BLB service directly.

The total number of BLB instances exceeds the upper limit. Can the current business needs increase the BLB quota?

You can submit a ticket to apply.

The backend server does not have a public network EIP. Can I access the public network through BLB?

BLB is only used for load balancing and does not support backend servers to access the external network through BLB. You can bind EIP through BCC or create a NAT gateway.

Does BLB support IPv6?

BLB now supports ipv6, and it needs to be approved by the whitelist. Users who need it should submit a work ticket to apply.

Can windows operating systems use BLB?

BLB is responsible for parsing and forwarding HTTP and HTTPS protocol requests, and WAF is responsible for providing security protection features. There are no special requirements for the operating system of the backend server.
