Performance Specification Description
Updated at:2025-10-16
This document details the rate-limiting logic related to the performance specifications of load balancer instances.
Explanation on performance measurement dimension
Load balancer performance metrics are differentiated by the following dimensions:
| Performance metrics | Metric description |
|---|---|
| Concurrent connections | The total number of established connections within a given time period. |
| New connections per second | New connections per second refer to the rate of establishing new connections. If the rate surpasses the specified limit, new connection requests will be rejected. |
| Queries-per-second (QPS) | Queries-per-second (QPS) measures the number of request operations processed per unit of computing resource over a specified time. |
| Bandwidth limit | Bandwidth measures the volume of data transferable in a given time interval (commonly one second). Higher bandwidth implies stronger transmission capability, enabling a greater amount of data transfer per unit time. |

Performance specifications
The current load balancer has the following specifications:
| Specification | Specification metric |
|---|---|
| Standard 1 | Concurrent connections: 50,000; new connections per second: 5,000; queries-per-second: 5,000; bandwidth limit: 1Gbps |
| Standard 2 | Concurrent connections: 100,000; new connections per second: 10,000; queries-per-second: 10,000; bandwidth limit: 2Gbps |
| Enhance 1 | Concurrent connections: 200,000; new connections per second: 20,000; queries-per-second: 20,000; bandwidth limit: 4Gbps |
| Enhance 2 | Concurrent connections: 500,000; new connections per second: 50,000; queries-per-second: 30,000; bandwidth limit: 6Gbps |
| Ultra Large 1 | Concurrent connections: 1,000,000; new connections per second: 100,000; queries-per-second: 50,000; bandwidth limit: 10Gbps |
| Ultra Large 2 | Concurrent connections: 2,000,000; new connections per second: 200,000; queries-per-second: 100,000; bandwidth limit: 20Gbps |
| Ultra Large 3 | Concurrent connections: 4,000,000; new connections per second: 400,000; queries-per-second: 200,000; bandwidth limit: 40Gbps |
| Ultra Large 4 | Concurrent connections: 6,000,000; new connections per second: 600,000; queries-per-second: 300,000; bandwidth limit: 60Gbps |
| Ultra Large 5 | Concurrent connections: 8,000,000; new connections per second: 800,000; queries-per-second: 400,000; bandwidth limit: 80Gbps |
All load balancers, regardless of the charge type, support the above specifications.
Non-rate-limited specification
For postpay instances under the pay-as-you-go model, specifications without rate limits are supported. Instances with unlimited rate specifications face no usage restrictions and can scale infinitely. However, performance may degrade in extreme cases where network traffic increases abruptly. If traffic heavily exceeds the maximum capacity, contact support in advance to ensure optimal performance.
