Billing Cases

Updated at:2025-11-11

This document explains the cost calculation method for Cloud File System (CFS) using illustrative examples.

Note: The following billing examples are provided for reference purposes only. The actual pricing will be based on the CFS purchase page in your account.

Case 1: Fixed storage capacity

  • Capacity CFS

Mr. Chen created a Capacity CFS file system in availability zone A of North China - Beijing. Assuming that the maximum hourly storage capacity remained 100 GB throughout September 2024, Mr. Chen’s consumption for September is explained below under both the pay-as-you-go and storage package offset approaches.

Charge type Cost breakdown Description
Pay-as-you-go 100 GB × RMB 0.000486/GB/hour × 24 hours × 30 days = RMB 35.00
Storage package offset RMB 30 Purchase 1 Capacity CFS storage package of 100 GB with a 1-month validity period
  • Performance CFS

Mr. Chen created a Performance CFS file system in availability zone A of North China - Beijing. Assuming that the maximum hourly storage capacity remained 100 GB throughout September 2024, Mr. Chen’s consumption for September is explained below under both the pay-as-you-go and storage package offset approaches.

Charge type Cost breakdown Description
Pay-as-you-go 100 GB × RMB 0.0025/GB/hour × 24 hours × 30 days = RMB 180.00
Storage package offset RMB 165 Purchase 1 Performance CFS storage package of 100 GB with a 1-month validity period
  • Capacity CFS + Performance CFS

Mr. Chen created both a Capacity CFS file system and a Performance CFS file system in availability zone A of North China - Beijing. Assuming that the Performance CFS file system maintained a maximum hourly storage capacity of 100 GB, while the Capacity CFS file system maintained 200 GB throughout September 2024, Mr. Chen’s consumption for September is explained below under both the pay-as-you-go and storage package offset approaches.

Charge type Cost breakdown Description
Pay-as-you-go
  • Performance CFS: 100 GB × RMB 0.0025/GB/hour × 24 hours × 30 days = RMB 180.00
  • Capacity CFS: 200 GB × RMB 0.000486/GB/hour × 24 hours × 30 days = RMB 69.98
  • Total cost: RMB 180.00 + RMB 69.98 = RMB 249.98
  • Storage package offset
  • Performance CFS: RMB 165
  • Capacity CFS: RMB 30 × 2 = RMB 60
  • Total cost: RMB 165 + RMB 60 = RMB 225
  • Purchase 1 Performance CFS storage package of 100 GB with a 1-month validity period and 2 Capacity CFS storage packages of 100 GB each with a 1-month validity period

    Case 2: Fluctuated storage capacity

    • Capacity CFS

Mr. Chen created a Capacity CFS file system in availability zone A of North China - Beijing. Assuming that the maximum hourly storage capacity remained 100 GB for most of the days except for a single day when it reached 200 GB throughout September 2024, Mr. Chen’s consumption for September is explained below under both the pay-as-you-go and storage package offset approaches.

    Charge type Cost breakdown Description
    Pay-as-you-go (100 GB × RMB 0.000486/GB/hour × 24 hours × 29 days) + (200 GB × RMB 0.000486/GB/hour × 24 hours × 1 day) = RMB 36.16
Storage package offset + pay-as-you-go (200 GB - 100 GB) × RMB 0.000486/GB/hour × 24 hours × 1 day + RMB 30 = RMB 31.17 Purchase one Capacity CFS storage package of 100 GB with a validity period of 1 month. Any storage usage beyond the package limit will be charged on a pay-as-you-go basis.
    • Performance CFS

Mr. Chen created a Performance CFS file system in availability zone A of North China - Beijing.

    Pay-as-you-go (100 GB × RMB 0.0025/GB/hour × 24 hours × 29 days) + (200 GB × RMB 0.0025/GB/hour × 24 hours × 1 day) = RMB 186.00
Storage package offset + pay-as-you-go (200 GB - 100 GB) × RMB 0.0025/GB/hour × 24 hours × 1 day + RMB 165 = RMB 171.00 Purchase one Performance CFS storage package of 100 GB with a validity period of 1 month. Any storage usage beyond the package limit will be charged on a pay-as-you-go basis.
    • Capacity CFS + Performance CFS

Mr. Chen created both a Capacity CFS file system and a Performance CFS file system in availability zone A of North China - Beijing. Assuming that the Performance CFS file system maintained a maximum hourly storage capacity of 100 GB, except for a single day when it reached 200 GB, and the Capacity CFS file system maintained 200 GB, except for a single day when it reached 400 GB throughout September 2024, Mr. Chen’s consumption for September is explained below under both the pay-as-you-go and storage package offset approaches.

    Charge type Cost breakdown Description
    Pay-as-you-go
  • Performance CFS: (100 GB × RMB 0.000486/GB/hour × 24 hours × 29 days) + (200 GB × RMB 0.000486/GB/hour × 24 hours × 1 day) = RMB 186.00
  • Capacity CFS: (200 GB × RMB 0.000486/GB/hour × 24 hours × 29 days) + (400 GB × RMB 0.000486/GB/hour × 24 hours × 1 day) = RMB 72.32
  • Total cost: RMB 186.00 + RMB 72.32 = RMB 258.32
  • Storage package offset + pay-as-you-go
  • Performance CFS: (200 GB - 100 GB) × RMB 0.0025/GB/hour × 24 hours × 1 days + RMB 165 = RMB 171.00
  • Performance CFS: (400 GB - 200 GB) × RMB 0.000486/GB/hour × 24 hours × 1 days + RMB 30 × 2 = RMB 62.33
  • Total cost: RMB 171 + RMB 62.33 = RMB 233.33
  • Purchase one Performance CFS storage package of 100 GB with a validity period of 1 month, and two Capacity CFS storage packages of 100 GB each with a validity period of 1 month. Any storage usage beyond the package limit will be charged on a pay-as-you-go basis.
