Backup
To protect critical service assets, the Cloud File System (CFS) supports backup and recovery functions. When backing up file system data, CFS does not perform file system snapshots but relies on an efficient file system scanning mechanism. On the CFS console, configure backup policies to generate multiple backup replicas (full backup for the first time, and incremental backup for subsequent backup) and restore files promptly in the case of data loss or corruption.
Cost description
The CFS backup feature is currently in its free trial period. Specific billing details will be uniformly released before the trial ends and charges are implemented.
Backup
CFS backup supports both manual and automatic backups. Manual backup requires user initiation and execution, while automatic backup operates without user intervention. Users can define backup schedules, rules, and parameters, and the system automatically performs backups based on set intervals or specific triggers.
Manual backup
- Sign in to the CFS console, click Manage in the operation column to access the basic information page.

- Click on Backup in the left menu to navigate to the backup list page.

- Click on Manual Backup, then enter the Backup Name and Remarks in the pop-up window.

- After clicking OK, you can view the details of the backup task.

Automatic backup
- Go to the backup page (the same as for manual backups) and click on Automatic Backup (Disabled).
- In the pop-up window, provide details such as Backup Time, Recurrence Date, and Retention Period.

- Click OK, and automatic backup will be enabled.
- To change the backup policy or turn off automatic backups, click on Automatic Backup (Enabled) again to modify the settings.
Restore
Currently, CFS only allows full restoration to a new file system. The steps are as follows:
- On the backup list page, locate the completed backup task, and click Backup Restore in the operation column to restore the file system.

- In the pop-up window, choose the Availability Zone and Storage Class to restore.

- Click OK, wait for a moment, and the newly restored file system will appear.

FAQs
1. Will CFS backup affect file system performance?
Answer: Backup data is processed through a bypass mechanism, so it does not impact the performance of the CFS file system.
