Set File System Capacity Upper Limit
Updated at:2025-11-11
You can configure a custom capacity for the CFS file system according to your needs. By default, custom capacity is disabled. If you enable it, set the maximum capacity (upper limit) for the file system as required. Once the actual used capacity reaches this limit, write operations to the file system will be blocked until the capacity is adjusted.
Set the maximum capacity
When creating a new file system, you have the option to enable the custom capacity feature and specify the maximum capacity for the file system (up to 10 PB).

Modify the maximum capacity
Once your actual used capacity reaches the set maximum capacity of the file system, you will no longer be able to perform write operations on the file system and will need to adjust the capacity. The adjustment steps are as follows:
- Locate the corresponding file system in the file system list and click Manage to enter its Basic Information page;
- Click on Adjust Capacity to modify the maximum capacity.
