          Cloud-Native Application Platform CNAP

          Billing Instructions

          Billing Mode

When you use CNAP to deploy and manage your applications, the possible costs will include the following two parts:

          • The cost of computing, network, storage and other resources that will be consumed when creating a container cluster and deploying applications, including BCC, CDS, EIP, BLB, etc. These resources will be billed separately according to the billing standards of the corresponding cloud services and will not be shown in CNAP bills.
          • In the process of using CNAP, in order to save your application metadata and status information, provide application monitoring and log collection, service registration and configuration center and other features, CNAP needs to consume public computing, storage and database resources to provide you with services. Therefore, CNAP will charge you management fees based on the specifications of the workspace you use, which will be directly shown in CNAP bill.

This document will focus on the billing methods of CNAP workspace management fees. For the resource costs incurred by your container cluster and application deployment, please refer to the billing documents of the corresponding cloud service.

          Billing Formula

CNAP's management fee only supports the prepayment method, that is, when you create a workspace, you need to select the specifications of the workspace and the duration purchased, and then pay the corresponding management fee to complete the creation of the workspace.

Management fee = unit price of workspace specifications × number of prepaid months × prepaid discount

Different workspace specifications limit the maximum number of deployment groups that can be created in the workspace. The unit price corresponding to each specification is shown in the following table:

          Work space specifications Specifications Unit price (RMB/month) Prepaid 1 year-20% discount (yuan/year) Prepaid 2 years-30% discount (yuan/2 years) Prepaid 3 years-50% discount (yuan/3 years)
Mini Create up to 10 deployment groups in the workspace 900 8640 15120 16200
          Ultra-small Create up to 25 deployment groups in the workspace 2000 1920 33600 36000
Small Create up to 50 deployment groups in the workspace 4000 38400 67200 72000
Medium Create up to 100 deployment groups in the workspace 7000 67200 117600 126000
Large Create up to 300 deployment groups in the workspace 18000 172800 302400 324000
Super large Create up to 500 deployment groups in the workspace 25000 240000 420000 450000

          Free Workspace

In order to facilitate users to quickly experience product features, CNAP provides a certain amount of free work space. It supports the creation of up to 5 free workspaces for each Baidu AI Cloud account, and supports the creation of up to 3 deployment groups in each free workspace.

When a user logs in to a CNAP product for the first time, he will get a default free workspace, and he can start using the free workspace directly, or purchase and create a new workspace.

          Work Space Specification Upgrade

CNAP supports you to make specification changes to the workspace. When you think that the number of deployment groups defined by the current specifications of the workspace does not meet or has far exceeded your actual business needs, you can initiate a specification change operation for the workspace.

The change of workspace specifications will involve changes in the billing unit price, so when you upgrade the workspace specifications, you need to pay the difference in the remaining duration purchased of the workspace; When you downgrade the workspace specification, CNAP will refund the cash payment to your account balance based on the difference you downgrade and the remaining time, and the voucher payment will not be refunded.

          Workspace Renewal and Service Suspension

You can renew the work space at any time during the remaining time of the work space to extend the purchased service time of the work space. The billing method for renewal is the same as when the new workspace is purchased. The cost is calculated according to the specifications of the workspace and the purchased service time, and the cost needs to be prepaid.

If you have not renewed the workspace when the prepaid time for the workspace expires, the workspace will enter the suspension process:

          • Within 15 days after your workspace expires, it will no longer support the creation, editing, and copying of resources in the space (including applications, environments, change orders, warehouses) and other change operations, but you can still view the resources information in the workspace and perform resource deletion operations.
          • 15 days after expiration, except for resource change operations, CNAP will stop collecting data related to the monitoring and alarms of the deployment group in the space.

The shutdown of the workspace will not affect the operation of your application itself and application-related data storage. Therefore, even after the CNAP workspace is suspended, the applications deployed through CNAP will continue to run, and you can still use Kubernetes to manage workloads and resources related to application.

You can renew a workspace that has been suspended at any time to re-enable the workspace.
