Noun Definition
1.Deployment task: A deployment task is a background task that is always running. It monitors the Target device that meets the deployment conditions in real time and deploy the target device according to Configuration information. 2.Target device: It is an edge core device filtered out based on Tag. 3.Configuration information: Configuration information is the configuration information of the application template used to create a deployment task, and it mainly includes Service configuration and Storage volume configuration. Configuration information of a deployment task is obtained from the application template but is not bound to the application template. Modification of the application template does not affect the configuration information of the deployment task. After a deployment task is created, its configuration information will no longer be changed.
Application Scenarios
The deployment task is mainly applicable to application configuration changes to a large number of devices. Typical usage scenarios are as follows:
1.Batch devices, A service has to be added. 2.Batch devices, B storage volume has to be added. 3.Batch devices, the C module has to be upgraded from version 0.1.6 to version 1.0.0.
Prerequisite Preparation
To create a deployment task, you have to select an application template and obtain configuration information from the application template. Therefore, before creating a deployment task, you have to create an application template for the deployment.
