1.Why do I need identity verification?

The "Law of the People's Republic of China on Network Security" and other laws and regulations require that: Network operators should handle network access for users, and they should require users to provide their true identity information when signing agreements with users or confirming the provision of services. When users do not provide true identity information, network operators should not provide them with relevant services.

2.How can I conduct identity verification?

Baidu AI Cloud provides two verification methods, i.e. personal identity verification and enterprise identity verification, and you can choose any of them for verification.

• If you are a personal developer, conduct Personal Identity Verificationon/Personal Authentication.md#).
• If you are an enterprise, individual business, institution, social group, etc., conduct the verification through your business license, organization code certificate, and other related certificates Enterprise Identity Verification).

If you have special requirements such as urgent service, submit a ticket or email to bce_service@baidu.com, and indicate your requirements and reasons. We will serve you wholeheartedly.

3.How can I change approved identity verification information?

Note: If your account contains the following products or postpaid applications, such as BCC, BLB, CDN, BOS, BMR, BML, Palo, SMS, BAE, BCH, and LSS, it is not allowed to cancel the identity verification.

4.How long does it take to complete the review after the identity verification is submitted?

If you submit your personal enterprise identity verification during working hours, the verification process will be completed within 30 minutes; and if you submit your verification during non-working hours, the verification process will be completed by 10:00 a.m. the next day. Working hours are from Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 19:00 every day.

5.What does it mean that the identity verification prompt has exceeded the limit?

There are two possible scenarios for indicating that the limit has been exceeded：

• If you have had a Baidu AI Cloud account for identity verification under the current identity information, use your existing Baidu AI Cloud account. If you want to use a new account, you need to unbind the identity verification of your existing account.
• The number of certificate authentication exceeds ten times in one day: Retry the next day.

6.How can I change my domain name for identity verification?

The domain identity verification is unrelated to personal enterprise identity verification. For details in operation of the domain identity verification, refer to Change Domain Name Owner.

7.What is the difference between the services I receive for personal identity verification and enterprise identity verification?

For enterprise verification, you receive more services than that for personal authentication. Currently, VAT invoices are only available to customers who have completed enterprise verification (general corporate category). In the future, more services will be available for enterprise verification.

• SMS is only available to the customers who have completed enterprise verification.
• LSS and VOD services are restricted to support personal verification accounts.

Questions on personal identity verification

1.Can I use the same ID card number for personal identity verification for multiple Baidu AI Cloud accounts?

No. You can use the same ID card number only for identity verification for one Baidu AI Cloud account.

2. Can I upgrade the personal verification to the enterprise verification?

After passing personal verification, you can continue to apply for Enterprise Identity Verification), and you can upgrade it to the enterprise verification after passing the review.

3.What other information can I submit when I can't provide a scanned copy of my ID card photo for personal identity verification?

Currently, you can use your ID card for verification only. If you lost your original ID card, you can provide a temporary ID card.

4.Does it support identity verification for people from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan?

Baidu AI Cloud does not support the use of personal certificates other than mainland resident identity cards for identity verification, so you can use the identity certificates of other relevant persons or a business license for identity verification.

5.What should I do if the personal identity verification prompts that the name does not match the ID card number?

If your ID card information has recently had information changes such as household registration transfer or name change and the changed information has not been updated to the ID card information interface of the Public Security Bureau, the information obtained by the system during identity verification is still that before the change. Thus, it will prompt that your ID card number does not match your name. Then, you should submit a ticketand provide a photo of the page that carries your personal information in the family register.

6.Why can't I submit my personal identity verification for review?

The possible cause is that there are 5 Baidu accounts (but not Baidu AI Cloud accounts) that have completed identity verification using your identity information. You can try to verify specific accounts using the Baidu App and try to cancel these accounts.

7.How can I unbind personal identity verification?

When you need to cancel the identity verification of your account, submit a ticketfor manual unbinding to ensure the safety of your account.

• If you no longer have resources under your account, upload the following items when submitting a ticket: an ID card with the name consistent with the name for account identity verification and a photo for the complete "Application Form for Cancellation of Baidu AI Cloud Identity Verification". After manual verification, we will cancel your account identity verification.
• If there are resources under your account, it can be unbound only in the following scenarios. If the identity information in the Bajia account is inconsistent with the identity information in your Baidu account, you need to cancel the identity verification of Baidu AI Cloud before making changes. Unbinding is not supported in other scenarios.

8. Can I apply for personal identity verification if I am under 18 years old?

According to relevant laws and regulations, people under the age of 18 should be under the custody of their guardians, so you cannot perform account identity verification. However, you can seek help from your guardians. Your guardian can use their own certificate information to complete the personal identity verification on behalf of you.

Questions on the Enterprise Authentication

1.Why can't I submit my enterprise identity verification for review?

In some scenarios, you need to complete personal primary and advanced identity verification before you carry out enterprise authentication. If there is a prompt message and you cannot submit it for review, perform personal identity verification first.

2.How can I change the enterprise identity verification to the personal identity verification? ----

Currently, Baidu AI Cloud does not support the change of the enterprise identity verification to personal identity verificatio.

3.How can I unbind the enterprise identity verification?

When you need to unbind the identity verification of your enterprise account, submit a ticketfor manual unbinding to ensure the safety of your account.

• If you no longer have resources under your enterprise account, upload the following items when submitting a ticket: a photo for the original business license consistent with the name for account identity verification and a photo for the completed "Application Form for Cancellation of Baidu AI Cloud Identity Verification"(https://doc.bce.baidu.com/bce-documentation/USER_GUIDE/Baidu AI Cloud Identity Verification Cancellation Application Form v2.0.doc) with an official seal affixed. After manual verification, we will cancel your account identity verification.
• You need to cancel the identity verification due to company cancellation even though there are resources under your enterprise account. When submitting a ticket, upload the following items: a photo for the business license consistent with the name for account identity verification and a photo for the completed "Application Form for Cancellation of Baidu AI Cloud Identity Verification" and a photo for "Notice of Approval of Cancellation Registration". After manual verification, we will cancel your account identity verification.
