General Problems

1. Why is the identity verification required

As required by the Network Security Law of the People's Republic of China and other laws and regulations: The network operator handling network access for users shall, when signing the agreement with the user or confirming the provision of the services, requires users to provide true identity information. For the users who do not provide true identity information, the network operator shall not provide relevant services for the users.

2. How to make identity verification

Baidu AI Cloud provides two authentication methods: personal authentication and enterprise authentication, and you can choose any one of them for authentication. Among them, the personal authentication is applicable to personal development enthusiasts, which is authenticated through personal ID card; the enterprise authentication is applicable to enterprises, privately or individually-owned business, government departments and public institutions and social organizations, etc., which shall be authenticated through business license, organization code certificate and other relevant certification, etc. In case of any urgent and other special needs, please submit a ticket, or send email to bce_service@baidu.com, indicating your needs and causes, we will serve you wholeheartedly.

3. How to change the identity verification information that has been passed

In case of non-industrial and commercial registration of changes, please submit a Ticket according to specific situation for consultation.

4. How long will it take to complete the audit after the identity verification is submitted

If you submit your personal/enterprise identity verification within the working hours, it will take 30 minutes to complete the authentication; if it is not submitted during the working hours, the personal/enterprise identity verification will be completed before 10:00am the next day. The working hour refers to time from 10:00 to 19:00, from Monday to Sunday.

5. What does it mean that identity verification prompt has already exceeded the limit

There may be two possible scenarios in which it is prompted that the identity verification has already exceeded the limit: • There is a Baidu AI Cloud account for identity verification under the current identity information: Please use the existing Baidu AI Cloud account. If you want to use the new account, you need to unbind the identity verification of the existing account. • The certificate is authenticated for more than ten times a day: Please retry the second day.

6. How to change the real-time authentication for the domain name

The identity verification of the domain name has nothing to do with the personal/enterprise identity verification.

7. What is the difference in services obtained from an individual's identity verification and an enterprise's identity verification

The services received from enterprise authentication are more than that of individual authentication. Currently, the VAT special invoice is only available to the customers who have completed the enterprise authentication (general enterprise category). Subsequently, more services will be in favor of the enterprise authentication. • SES and SMS are only available to the customers who have completed the enterprise authentication. • LSS and VOD services are only available to the accounts of individual authentication.

Problems Concerning Personal Authentication

1. Can the same ID card be used for the identity verification of multiple Baidu AI Cloud accounts

No, it can't. The same ID card can only be used for the identity verification of one Baidu AI Cloud account.

2. Can the individual authentication be upgraded to enterprise authentication

After passing the individual authentication, you can continue to apply for Enterprise Authentication, and then you can be upgraded to enterprise authentication upon approval.

3. What else can be submitted if it is unable to provide ID card/scanned copy during the individual's identity verification

Currently, only ID card is supported for the timebeing. In the absence of the original ID card, you can provide a temporary ID card.

4. Does it support the identity verification of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan people

Baidu AI Cloud does not support for the identity verification of personal documents other than the ID card of the mainland residents. You can use the personal ID card of other relevant person or business license of the enterprise for identity verification.

5. What if the name of individual's identity verification is not consistent with ID number

If your ID card information is changed recently, such as transfer of census register or change of name, and the changed information has not been updated to the interface of ID card information of the public security bureau, so when you make a identity verification, the information that the system accessed is that before the change, and the system will prompt that your ID number does not match with your name. Please submit a Ticket and provide the photo of your page in the household register.

6. Why can't personal identity verification be submitted for review

Possible causes: Currently, there are 5 Baidu accounts (non Baidu AI Cloud account) that have completed the identity verification using your identity information, you can try using Baidu APP to verify the specific accounts and try to cancel these accounts.

7. How to unbind the identity verification

You need to submit a Ticket for manual unbinding. For security sake of your account, you are required to provide the photo of you holding the ID card that is consistent with the identity verification of the account and the Form of Baidu AI Cloud on Application for Unbinding the Identity Verification and upload to the ticket after taking a photo. We will unbind the application for the identity verification of the account after verification.

Problems Concerning Enterprise Authentication

1. Why can't the enterprise's identity verification be submitted for review

For some scenarios where the enterprise authentication cannot be completed until the primary personal identity verification and personal advanced identity verification are completed, please go for personal identity verification if prompt information appears and unable to submit for review.

2. How to change the enterprise's real-time authentication into a personal one

Currently, it does not support to change the enterprise identity verification to Personal Authentication.

3. How to cancel the enterprise's identity verification of the account

For the security of your account, you need to submit a Ticket for manual unbinding. Provide the photo of original business license that is consistent with the identity verification of the account and the Form of Baidu AI Cloud on Application for Unbinding the Identity verification that has been filled in and stamped with official seal to the ticket. We will unbind the application for the identity verification of the account when the unbinding conditions are met through manual review.
