Feature Introduction

The alarm action is a kind of template of alarm notification method and notification object, and the same alarm action can be reused. By configuring the alarm action, you can flexibly select email, SMS and other alarm notification methods and contacts or contact groups as the alarm receiving objects. The same alarm action can be selected for different alarm policies.

You can realize the one-key modification of alarm notification methods and alarm receiving objects of different alarm policies by modifying the alarm action to improve the management efficiency of your alarm notification methods and alarm receiving objects.

Note:
The original notification methods and notification objects of the alarm policies of unused alarm actions can be still used. When you modify the notification methods and notification objects of your original alarm policies, please use the alarm action to realize the unified management of alarm notification methods and notification objects.

Create Alarm Action

1.Log in to Baidu AI Cloud, and select the cloud monitoring BCM. In the left navigation bar, click < Alarm Management > -><Alarm action>.

2.Click < Create Action > button to enter the form page of "Create Alarm Action".

3.Fill in the form of alarm action to create the alarm action.

And click < Add Group >/< Add Contact > button to jump to “Identify and Access Management“ to manage personnel and groups, including addition, modification, and deletion of contact groups/contacts, etc.

4.Click < Save > button to create an alarm action.

View Alarm Action

In the left navigation bar, click < Alarm Management > -> < Alarm Action > to enter the page of alarm action list. You can view the basic information of alarm actions created by yourself in the page of alarm action list, e.g. name of alarm action, contact/group, notification method, etc.

And the created alarm action is displayed at the top of the alarm action list to enable you to quickly view the basic information of the alarm action after you create the alarm action.

Edit Alarm Action

1.In the left navigation bar, click < Alarm Management > -> < Alarm Action > button to enter the page of alarm action list.

2.In the page of alarm action list, click < Edit > button of operation column to enter the edition page of alarm action.

3.In the edition page of alarm action, you can modify the alarm action according to requirements, e.g. change of the name, notification method, notification object, etc. of the alarm action.

4.Click < Save > button to edit an alarm action.

Note: If the alarm action has been used by one or some alarm policies, the alarm action becomes valid synchronously for the alarm policies having used the alarm action after the alarm action is modified.

Delete Alarm Action

1.In the left navigation bar, click < Alarm Management > -> < Alarm Action > button to enter the page of alarm action list.

2.In the page of alarm action list, click < Delete > button of operation column to delete the alarm action.

Note: If the alarm action has been used by one or some alarm policies, please select other alarm actions for the corresponding alarm policies, and then delete the alarm action, namely, the alarm action which is being used cannot be deleted.
