Overview

The cloud database DRDS supports two billing modes, i.e., prepaid and postpaid.

The billing modes can be changed between the prepaid and postpaid modes.

From Prepaid to Postpaid

• After the prepaid mode is changed to the postpaid mode, the change of the billing method gets valid immediately after the prepaid contract expires;
• After the prepaid mode is changed to the postpaid mode, the payment method of the instance is "prepaid (to be changed)" before the contract expires, and "billing mode change" can be canceled during this period.
• Before the prepaid mode is changed to the postpaid mode, it is required to ensure that there is no arrears in the account and that the account balance and the available voucher is greater than or equal to RMB 100 to avoid the failure to change the billing method.
• You cannot perform the change in billing mode for the prepaid instances with auto renewal.

From Postpaid Mode to Prepaid Mode

The billing method of the instance can be changed from postpaid mode to prepaid mode. After the billing method is successfully changed, the prepaid mode is used immediately for billing.
