Last Updated:2020-10-26
Create a Snapshot
- Enter the dedicated instance list, select a dedicated instance, and then click “More Operations” > “Create a Snapshot”.
- Enter the snapshot name in the pop-up dialog box and then click "Ok" to complete the snapshot creation.
- After the snapshot is created, click the "Snapshot" tab on the right navbar to view the snapshot that has been created.
- You can achieve the automatic snapshot feature with the automatic snapshot policy provided by the Baidu AI Cloud. For more information, please see
Automatic Snapshot Policy.
After the snapshot has been created, you can restore the disk status of the system status when the snapshot was being created through rolling back the snapshot.
Roll Back a Snapshot
“Roll Back a Snapshot” is used to restore the disk status to the system status when the snapshot was being created. For example, you created snapshot A on disk A at 17:00 pm on May 20, 2015. If you select to roll back snapshot A at 17:00 pm on May 21, 2015, the system information of disk A is restored to the status at 17:00 pm on May 20, 2015. At the same time, the data saved between 17:00 pm on May 20, 2015 and 17:00 pm on May 21, 2015 is lost.
For the snapshots created on the CDS disk, please uninstall them from the installed dedicated instance on the CDS disk.
Note:
- For the dedicated instance in the Windows operating system, you need to delete this disk from the Windows Disk Management first, and then uninstall the CDS disk from the console. Otherwise, the console may deliver an error message.
- For the dedicated instance in the Linux operating system, to ensure secure unmounting, you are recommended to perform the unmounting operation (unmount command) in the instance operating system before performing the unmounting operation in the console.
- For more information on detailed operations, please see Unmount the CDS Disk.
- Enter the dedicated instance list, and then click the "Snapshot" on the left navbar to enter the "Snapshot List" page.
- Click the "Roll Back a Snapshot" in the row where the specified snapshot is located, and then the dialog box of "Confirm Before Rolling Back" pops up.
- Click "Send a Verification Code" and the system is going to send a verification code to your mobile phone. Please check it and fill it in.
- Click "Ok” to complete the snapshot rollback operation.
