Overview

You can uninstall the mounted disk.

Note:

When uninstalling the data disk, you should pay attention to the following contents:

• Operate in Windows system

In the Windows operation system, we recommend you to stop the read-write operation of all file system of the disk in order to guarantee the data integrity. The specific operations are as follows: Log into Windows system, and enable the disk to be uninstalled to go offline in "Management Tool > Computer Management".

• Operate in Linux system

In Linux operation system, you should login to the instance to implement umount/mnt command line operation for the disk. After executing the command, enter the console to uninstall the disk.

Operation Steps

You can select to uninstall the disk in the Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) console, or click Cloud Disk Storage (CDS) in the console to directly enter the disk list for uninstalling.

Note:

• Only the postpaid CDS can be released and the prepaid disk cannot be released;
• If you uninstall the postpaid disk, the uninstalling operation will be displayed as "failure", and the status bar in the disk list will be displayed as "Not Uninstalled". You can remount the disk and then use it;
• If you want to uninstall the prepaid disk, please first carry through "Billing Change";
• After being mounted/uninstalled, the CDS often faces the drive letter drift phenomenon. You can query the drive letter of the disk by thegrep . /sys/block/vd*/serial command. The drive letter queried by the command is not impacted by the disk mounting/unloading, and it is a permanent drive letter.

1.Log in to the official website of cloud platform

Log in to official website.

• If you do not register an account, you must first Register an Account for operation.
• If you have registered an account, you can directly Login.

2.Enter the page of disk list

In the left navigation bar in the console page, select "Baidu Cloud Compute > Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC)" to enter the BCC console, and click the left "Disk" to enter the page of disk list; or directly select "CDS" on the left of the console to directly enter the page of disk list.

3.Select and uninstall the disk

In the disk list, click the button of "Uninstall" in the corresponding operation bar of the disk to be mounted for uninstalling.

You can also click the disk name to enter the details page of the disk, and click "Uninstall" above the page for operation.

After clicking "Uninstall", please pay attention to contents in the pop-up. If you are operating in Windows system, please enable the disk to be uninstalled to go offline; if you are operating in Linux system, please first execute unmount operation for the disk. 4.Complete the uninstallation

After the operations above, the uninstallation is completed.
