Billing Rules

According to the configuration and number of selected instance models, BMR takes real-time billing based on service time (in minutes). The specific billing rules are as follows:

• Start billing when the cluster is created successfully and executes the submitted step. You can submit the step during or after the creation of the cluster.
• The minimum billing time is 5 minutes after the cluster is created successfully. No billing takes place during the operation of any step, which fails for system reasons.
• Billing by minutes and the period less than 1 minute is counted as 1 minute.
• Charge by hours, i.e., charge by Beijing time and generate bills. The bill is generated within 1 hour after the end of the current billing cycle. For example, the bill from 10:00-11:00 is generated before 12:00. The specific time depends on the system billing time.
• Before the purchase, you need to ensure the account has no arrears, and the sum of the account balance and available coupons is greater than or equal to 100 Yuan.

Note

• The General-purpose package is one with the ratio of CPU core to memory as 1:4 and with CDS Cloud Disk mounted, which is applicable to most scenarios.
• The Compute optimized package is one with the ratio of CPU core to memory as 1:2 and with CDS Cloud Disk mounted, which is applicable to computation-intensive scenarios.
• The Memory optimized package is one with the ratio of CPU core to memory as 1:8 and with CDS Cloud Disk mounted, which is applicable to business scenarios where the computing results need to be cached in memory.
• Local SSD data disk is mounted with local SSD disk, which is applicable to scenarios requiring frequent data read and write. However, the reliability of local disk data is not guaranteed. It is recommended to select the above-mentioned CDS package, with SSD type disk optional, so as to obtain high data read-write performance while ensuring data reliability.
• The data disk of big data type is mounted with local HDD disk, which is applicable to scenarios requiring large-scale data storage. However, the reliability of local disk data is not guaranteed. It is recommended to select the above-mentioned CDS package, with common cloud disk type optional, so as to enjoy a lower data read-write cost while ensuring data reliability.

Low Balance Reminders and Arrears

• The Reminder of Low Balance:

  • Determine if your account balance (including available coupons) is sufficient to pay for the next 3 days according to your bill amount in the last 3 days; if not, the system sends a renewal reminder.

• Arrears Handling:

  • Check if your account balance is sufficient to pay for BMR bills at the hour of Beijing time (for example, check if the account balance is sufficient to pay for bills from 10:00 to 11:00 at 11:00 of Beijing time); if not, the arrears are confirmed, and the system sends the renewal reminder.
  • In case of arrears, services are suspended, and resources are released immediately, and the system sends the notice of arrears and service suspension. For the performance of services, you are recommended to ensure sufficient account amount when using BMR.
