Baidu Log Service (BLS) product adopts a post-payment method, and real-time billing is performed according to the actual usage of the user. The specific rules are as follows:

Billing Rules

• Bill by minute, and less than one minute is counted as one minute.
• Charge by hour (once an hour Beijing time) and generate a bill. Billing time is within 1 hour after the end of the current billing cycle. For example, a bill from 10:00 to 11:00 will be generated before 12:00, which is subject to the billing time of the system.
• It is necessary to ensure that the account has no arrears before use.

Charging Standard

Billing formula

Cost = data read and write traffic ∗ read and write unit price + storage space ∗ storage unit price ∗ storage duration + index traffic ∗ index unit price.

Charging range

• Data writing: Including the amount of data written to the log store.
• Data reading: Including consumption data traffic, log store details page loading data traffic, data query scanning data traffic when indexing is not turned on.
• Storage space: Including the amount of data stored in the log store and the amount of data stored in the index.
• Index traffic: Including data traffic with indexing enabled (billing has not yet been enabled).

Special note

• Data writing: Due to log parsing, storage formatting and other processes, generally the write traffic will be greater than the actual log volume delivered.
• Data reading: Log consumption and query scenarios calculate the read traffic based on the amount of logs actually scanned in the log store (for example, SELECT count(1) scans 1G data, then the read traffic is charged at 1G).
• Storage space: Billing for storage space occupied by compressed data.

Insufficient balance reminder

• Determine whether your account balance (including available vouchers) is sufficient to pay for the bill of next 3 days based on the amount of your bill in the last 3 days. If it is not enough to pay, the system sends a renewal reminder.
• Determine whether your account balance (including available vouchers) is sufficient to pay for the next day's bill based on the amount of your bill in the last day. If it is not enough to pay, the system sends a renewal reminder.

Arrearage processing

• Check whether your account balance is enough to pay the fees on the bill on the hour by Beijing standard time (for example, you can check whether the account balance is enough to pay the bill fees from 10:00 to 11:00 at 11:00 sharp by Beijing standard time). If not, your account is in arrears, and the system will send an arrear notification.
• The system will immediately stop the service after the arrears, and the system will send a renewal reminder. After the service is stopped, data read and write operations cannot be performed. The log store data is reserved for you for 7 days, during which no fee will be charged. If you do not recharge within 7 days, all data will be released. The system will send a release notice 1 day before and when it is released.
