Introduction
BBC (Baidu Baremetal Compute) is the high-performance baremetal compute that users can exclusively enjoy in the cloud environment. Users have full management privilege of the physical device, and can combine with EIP and BLB for the flexible networking and inteconnect with the BCC private network, to flexibly deal with the user’s business requirements in various complex scenarios, and readily build a private network hybrid cloud.
BBC allows you to focus on the business itself carried on BBC. The supply, delivery and subsequent operations of BBC can be handled by Baidu AI Cloud's professional team. The time from the purchase to the successful delivery of BBC with standard configuration is less than 4 hours. Compared with the traditional IDC, it can deal with the changes of business requirements more readily.
General Concept

- Region and availability zone: Baidu AI Cloud provides the globally distributed physical data center, and the location of data center is referred to as region. In some region, there are several data centers whose infrastructures are isolated from each other, and each data center is referred to as the availability zone. For the region and availability zone supported by BBC, see Region and Availability Zone.
- Image: The image is the template of BBC instance running environment, including the configuration information, such as operating system and preinstalled software. In addition to provide the public image, BBC also supports the custom image. See Custom Image.
