Overview

The hosteye security agent in the Windows platform is a client module of the cloud server of Baidu AI Cloud security service. Together with the server, it helps to improve the security level of the cloud server. Security functions such as protection for brute force on passwords and remote login detection depend on the normal operation of the hosteye security agent.

Note:

This hosteye security agent is only applicable to products of the cloud server of Baidu AI Cloud.

Precondition

• Make sure that the cloud server can access the public network normally.
• You need to run the installer with the administrator permission.

Installation Steps

1.Download the hosteye security agent in the Windows platform Installers, copy it to your windows system cloud server, and run the program.

The following interface pops up, please click Next.

2.Select the location where it will be installed. If you do not have special needs, you can directly click the Install button.

3.After the installation, click the Close button. You can log into the Management Console of Baidu Public Cloud to check the protection of your cloud server.

Application scenarios

During installation and use of the hosteye security agent, if the protection effect is not as expected, please check whether the client is working normally.

Operation steps

1.Right-click on the task bar, select Start task manager and click Process in the task manager poping out.

2.Check whether the process HostEye.exe exists in the Process bar.

• If this process exists, the installation succeeds.
• Otherwise, the installation fails, please submit a Ticket to provide feedback to Baidu.
