          Auto Scaling

          Step 2 Create Scaling Rules

After a scaling group is created, the scaling group enters the status of "Creating". At this time, the initialized nodes selected by you are created. To enable the scaling group to have the automatic scaling capability, you should also enter the rule management page to create the scaling rules.

          1. Click the scaling group name to enter the details page, and then select the scaling rule management.
          2. Click "Create Scaling Rules" at the top left corner.
          3. Select the rule type of scaling according to plan to create one scaling rule according to plan.

            • Planned time, namely, the scaling triggered time, e.g.: 10:30.
            • Scaling behavior, namely, the execution action in triggering, e.g.: Adjusted to 5 instances.
          4. Then create a rule with the rule type of scaling triggered by the alarm.

            • The monitoring object types may be scaling group, BCC or EIP. Select the scaling group here.
            • You can select one monitoring object in the list of all scaling groups in the current account. Select the scaling group name created by you just now.
            • The monitoring indexes may be CPU, memory or network card usage. Select the CPU usage rate here.
            • The threshold may be >, & lt; or = one certain value, e.g.>80%.
            • Scaling behavior, select to increase or decrease a certain number of nodes.
          5. Return to the list of scaling rules. You can see the 2 scaling rules created by yourself just now. Please ensure both the 2 rules are in the status of "Enabling".

Note: Due to the certain delay of the push of monitoring data, the status of alarm rules of the created scaling group may be "abnormal". Please wait for a few minutes.

After the steps above are completed, your scaling group is set basically. The scaling group will automatically adjust to 5 nodes at 10:00 a.m. every day, and automatically scales up when the average CPU usage rate exceeds 80%.

Then, you can also modify the parameters such as the range of nodes, cooling time and load balance of the scaling group in the details of the scaling group. You can modify the configuration of scaling up, view the nodes in the scaling group in the node management or manually add or remove nodes. All the scaling behaviors of the scaling group are recorded in the scaling log, and you may view the log at any time.
