          Auto Scaling

          Step 1 Create Scaling Group

A set of BCCs with the automatic scaling is called as a scaling group. Your use of automatic scaling usually starts from the creation of a scaling group.

1.Log in to Official Website of Baidu AI Cloud, and click "Management Console" in the upper right corner to quickly enter the console interface.

2.Select "Computing > AutoScaling" to enter the page of "Scaling Group List". Note: The automatic scaling is currently at the stage of test invitation. If failing to find the access of automatic scaling in the console, you may apply for subscribing the automatic scaling services at the website of Baidu AI Cloud.

3.Click "Create a Scaling Group" to enter the page of creating a scaling group, and fill in the configuration information, including:

          • Scaling group name: It is used to help you identify different scaling groups. You may fill in the information freely as long as the specified format requirements are met.
          • Network: You should select one private network VPC as the network where all nodes of the scaling group are located. Currently, the network where the scaling group is located doesn't support changes, so please select carefully.
          • Available zone and node subnet: You should select the available zone where the scaling group is located, and one node subnet should be selected for each available zone.
          • Minimum and maximum numbers of nodes: It is used to limit the scaling boundary of the scaling group. The number of nodes of the scaling group is generally not smaller than the minimum number of nodes or greater than the maximum number of nodes. Once the bound is exceeded, the scaling group initiates the automatic scaling tasks to adjust the number of nodes to the boundary.
          • Number of initialized nodes: For the number of nodes generated by initialization after the scaling group is created, refer to "Initialization" for details.
          • Cooling time: The duration that the scaling group enters the cooling status after scaling up is used to wait for the monitoring index of the scaling group to return to normal. The cooling time can prevent the false triggering of alarm tasks.
          • Bind the load balance: If you should bind the load balance for the scaling group, select one load balance instance in the network.

4.Click "Next" to fill in the scaling configuration which is used to stipulate the configuration of creating nodes in the scaling group, including:

          • Basic information: Cloud server type, CPU and memory, image type and operation system of the node.
          • Storage: The type and size of the node system disk, and whether additional CDS cloud disks should be mounted.
          • Elastic resources: Whether the elastic IP is purchased, if you select to purchase the elastic IP, one EIP is purchased and bound simultaneously for all the nodes generated by generated by scaling.
          • Network: Select one security group for the nodes under the scaling group.
          • System information: The user name and password of the administrator of the nodes under the scaling group, if selecting a custom password, we encrypt and store your password.

Note: The configuration of scaling up works in the node creation by scaling up. You can modify the most configurations by yourself after the node creation.

5.After the configuration of scaling up, you can inspect your configuration at the right side of the page, and see the unit price and total price of configuration. After confirmation, click "Next" to enter the page of order confirmation. If the number of your initialized nodes is 0, click Next to create a scaling group directly.

6.The page of order confirmation displays the fees required by your initialized nodes. Because the scaling group only supports the post-paid resources, you don't need to immediately pay any fees. After confirmation, click the "Pay" button to create, and the steps to creating a scaling group are completed.
