Overview

If the Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) purchased by you is Windows system, you should partition the disk after purchasing a new disk. In this example, "Disk 1" is partitioned and the size of the disk is 5GB.

Operate in Windows System

1.Open the service manager After logging in to the Windows host, click "Server Manager" at the lower left corner, and the "Server Manager" window pops up.

2.Online

In this example, the disk to be partitioned is "Disk 1". In the "Disk 1" region at the bottom of the page, right-click and select "Online".

3.Initialize a disk

In the "Disk 1" region, right-click and select "Initialize a Disk".

4.Confirm the initialization

In the pop-up "Initialize a Disk", click "Confirm" to initialize disk 1.

5.Create a simple volume

In the right area of "Disk 1", right-click and select "Create a Simple Volume".

6.Next step

In the pop-up window "Guide of Creating a Simple Volume", click "Next".

7.Set the size of the simple volume

Set the size of the simple volume, namely, the size of the partition; all the remaining space is selected by default. The users can designate the partition size as required, and select "Next".

8.Set the driver number

Set the drive number, and the default sequence number is postponed. Click "Next".

9.Format the partition

Format the partition. The "Execute Quick Format" is checked by default. Select "Next".

10.Finish

Click "Finish", and the system automatic finish the setting of the new partition. You can view the latest partition condition of the current server.
