Pre-release
Overview
CDN pre-release feature enables the small traffic release and verification before the new configuration is released on the whole network, and avoids such problem that your business is affected due to the release of wrong configuration.
After modifying the configuration, you can choose to release with small traffic, which is to distribute the configuration to a specific node without business; meanwhile, the system will return the results that the corresponding CNAME verifies the configuration to you. If the effect meets the expectation, you can choose to release the configuration to the whole network; if not, you can delete the configuration.
Set Pre-release
1.Log in CDN Management Console, select Domain Name Management from the Navbar on the left of the console.
2.On the Domain Name Management page, select the domain name to be pre-released, and click Management in the action bar to the far right, as shown in the figure below.
3.On the Domain Name Details page, click Pre-release, as shown in the figure below.
4.Select Pre-release Type at the tab Pre-release. Currently, there are only two types of pre-release configuration, namely origin server configuration and HTTPS configuration.
5.Click Pre-release after completing the configuration, and then the setting succeeds.
Verify the Configuration Effect
Method 1: Verify the configuration through browser
1.Execute the dig command on the corresponding CNAME returned after CDN is pre-released successfully to find the IP address of the corresponding test node assigned;
2.Modify its own local host file, and match the IP address of the test node with the domain name for pre-release setting;
3.Visit the URL corresponding to the domain name set by pre-release through the browser to check whether the request response lives up to the expectation.
Method 2: Verify the configuration through command line
1.Execute the dig command on the corresponding CNAME returned after CDN is pre-released successfully to find the IP address of the corresponding test node assigned;
2.You can use some common command tools like curl and openssl to access the specified test node, i.e., to communicate directly with the IP+PORT of the test node without resolving the IP address of the domain name through DNS.
If the verification result meets the expectation, you can choose to release the configuration on the network; if the result does not meet the expectation, you can delete this configuration.
Note
- After the pre-release is set, please select to publish throughout the network or cancel the publish as soon as possible;
- During the pre-release period, any other configuration actions you take will over-write and cancel pre-released settings.
